Nanette S. Stringer
I am a Certified Family Law Specialist (State Bar of California Board of Legal
Specialization) and have been certified since 1993. I am a member of the
Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, the Family Law Section of the
State Bar of California, and the Family Law Section of the Santa Clara County
Bar Association. I attend many family law seminars each year to keep current
in all aspects of family law, including custody, taxation, property division,
support, premarital and domestic partnership issues, and dispute resolution
methods.
I received my undergraduate degree in History and Literature from Harvard
University in 1974, and my law degree from Stanford Law School in 1978. I
continue to be involved with the law school in many ways, including providing a
family law internship to Stanford Law School students who are considering a
career in family law.
I have been named a Superlawyer for Northern California each year since 2005.
I have received the top “AV” rating (5.0 out of 5.0, Preeminent) by the
Martindale-Hubbell national law directory.
I have three grown children and have lived on the Peninsula since graduating
from law school. I am committed to volunteering in and contributing to local
community organizations, and am an avid gardener, yoga practitioner, runner,
and master’s swimmer. I have lived in various parts of the United States and in
France, and am conversant in French.
